Welcome and First Assignment!

Welcome to AP Biology! 
A great deal of our interactions are going to be via blog posts this year - it will give you time to research and reflect on what your read and watch, before you "discuss" it. Please refer to the Rules and Guidelines found here and on the instruction sheet for setting up your blogs - all posts and comments must follow these rules.

Assignment #1: By Monday, September 15th - 
Set up your blog, and provide me with the link via our class wiki. 10 pts

Assignment #2: By Monday, September 15th - 
Set up an RSS feed to this blog so that you will automatically get an posts that I make on here. 10 pts

Assignment #3: By Monday September 15th - 
add two other Biology-related blogs to your RSS feed.  See Blog Intro Assignment for examples.

Assignment #4: By Wednesday September 10th, FIRST OFFICIAL BLOG POST
Choose any topic in Biology that you are looking forward to learning more about. Find an article about that topic (NOT A BLOG POST). I need you to find a actual article from some online publication. Link to the article, and include a reference citation for it.  See APA format for references and citations found on our Moodle page. Write 1-2 paragraphs about why you find this topic interesting, what you already knew about the topic, what you learned from your article to expand your knowledge, and what you still hope to learn. Make sure to follow APA format - if you reference a fact directly from that article you must cite it with in-text citations.


Assignment #5: First Comments! Due Friday September 19^th. 
Comment on any two of your classmates’ assignment #4 posts. Please be aware that you will be required to comment on many of your classmates’ posts throughout the year. Unless you are having a continuing conversation the same post, you may not comment on the same person’s blog twice! I will be keeping track, and so must you.
